The Dairy Adventure

Join us during the Dairy Adventure Program! This program encourages you to play as you learn, by opening up a fun space for dairy discovery including learning how to use a “real” milking station. Understand the meaning and use of TMR, nutrition of the animals, and how Robotics are used in a Volunteer Milking System. Showcase Engineering when you explore the structure of the ecosystem in our milking parlor and use Math to figure out why logistics play such a vital role in the integrated farm operation.

The Pig Adventure

Participating in the Pig Adventure Program will help students learn all about pork and its benefits and discover the growth cycle of pigs from little piglets to a full-grown sow, gilt, or boar. Monitor the development of baby pigs and see how the farm works cohesively. You will get first-hand knowledge about how our feeding system is engineered to monitor animal intake, we calculate growth rates to ensure pigs are getting what they need, and how we ensure the animals are well cared for.

The Crop Adventure

Explore the Crop Adventure Program to learn about the importance of working to feed 9 BILLION people, the many uses of corn outside of consuming it, and how we can be sustainable with limited resources. See how a tractor can tell you about the nutrients in the soil. Explore how technology assists farmers in addition to pollinators and the amazing biodiversity on the farm.

One-Day General Admission

$25 / person

Spend a day enjoying Fair Oaks Farms! The Dairy Adventure is a transparent look at innovative dairy farming. At the Dairy Adventure visitors learn about the goodness of dairy, good milking practices, the comfort of the cows, and how the farmers at Fair Oaks Farms are innovators in sustainability. The Pig Adventure at Fair Oaks Farms is an up-close look at modern pig farming and pork production. Visitors learn the many ways farmers care for pigs at the breed-to-ween farm and how the pigs help humans at the Pork Education Center. The WinField Crop Adventure gives visitors a candid look inside the world of production agriculture. Visitors learn how science, technological breakthroughs, and stewardship programs are helping meet the demands of a growing population.

This ticket also includes Mooville, the outdoor play area.

Ages 2 and under are FREE! Admission purchases only need to be made for guests ages 3 and over. All online purchases are final.

Mooville

**Included with Adventures admission, or $5 tickets are available for Mooville admission only. Note: If you’ve already purchased Adventures passes, Mooville access is included – no need to buy separate Mooville tickets. Orchard admission is also included in Mooville Only passes – no need to buy additional Orchard tickets with Mooville Only tickets.**

Open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day then Saturday and Sunday through October, Mooville is an outdoor play area for kids (and kids at heart) of all ages! Take a ride on the Milk Chug Express Train, Climb to Udder Heights on the milk jug climbing wall, slide down Legen-Dairy Drop, and jump the day away on Dairy Air giant jumping pillow. Our smaller visitors will enjoy the Pedal Tractors and the Children’s playground.

Mooville is open Open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day then Saturday and Sunday through October. Monday – Saturday: 9 am – 5 pm CT; and Sunday: 10 am – 5 pm CT.

Orchard

**Included with Adventures admission, or $5 tickets are available for Orchard admission only. Note: If you’ve already purchased Adventures passes, Orchard and Mooville access is included – no need to buy separate Orchard and Mooville tickets. Mooville admission is also included in Orchard Only passes – no need to buy additional Mooville tickets with Orchard Only tickets. The Orchard opens seasonally August through October.

Enjoy a day picking apples and pumpkins at our picturesque 20-acre Orchard complete with weekend wagon rides, golf cart rentals, and photo opportunities to complete your experience. The Orchard is open seasonally from September through November. The Orchard is open Monday – Saturday 9 am – 5 pm CT and Sunday 10 am – 5 pm CT.

Pig Adventure Ropes Course

$5 / person

With multiple tiers to suit a range of ages, our indoor ropes course is exciting and fun to tackle. It’s the perfect way to relieve energy indoors.

Ropes course tickets can be purchased in Admissions or at the Pig Adventure.

The ropes course is open Monday – Saturday 9 am – 5 pm CT and Sunday 10 am – 5 pm CT.

Nope, just come on in! We recommend that your visit begins in the morning so that you have plenty of time to visit all of our attractions. Be sure to make time for lunch at our Cowfé or Farmhouse Restaurant!

We recommend 2 hours for each- The Dairy Adventure and Pig Adventure. They are mostly self-guided tours so you can slow down or speed up to accommodate your own pace. Add 1 hour for The Crop Adventure. Add 1 hour for Mooville.

Fair Oaks Farms is on Central Standard Time. (Chicago Time)

There is a Mother’s Lounge available in our Feedbarn, located right next to our Admission Building. This lounge allows privacy and a quiet spot for you and your child(ren).
