Simple Macaroni and Cheese

Honestly, who doesn't love a good bowl of macaroni and cheese? We know we do! Try this simple recipe using your leftover milk!

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) box elbow macaroni
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups Fair Oaks Farms milk
  • 2 cups Fair Oaks Farms Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of lightly salted water. Cook elbow macaroni in the boiling water. Occasionally stir until cooked, but firm (approx. 8 minutes). Then drain.

  2. Over medium heat, melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper until smooth. Slowly pour Fair Oaks Farms milk into butter-flour mixture until bubbling. Shred Fair Oaks Farms Cheddar cheese with a grater. Add shredded cheese to the milk mixture. Stir until cheese is melted.

  3. Add macaroni into the cheese sauce. Mix until coated.
