This year, Fair Oaks Farms is turning The Orchard into your family’s fall playground—with apple picking, live music, games, special events and a brand-new way to send apples flying!
The Orchard officially opens for apple picking on August 29, 2026, giving you plenty of opportunities to enjoy the harvest season. With 20 acres of apple trees, there’s room to wander, explore and find your favorite varieties.
Depending on when you visit, you may find everything from Honeycrisp and Pixie Crunch to Jonagold, Cameo, Evercrisp and Gold Rush. Apple varieties ripen throughout the season, so every visit can offer something a little different.
And don’t forget the sunflowers! The Sunflower Field opens August 22, 2026, so you can kick off your fall adventure with a colorful U-Pick experience before heading into the orchard.
Admission to the Orchard and What’s Included
Your $5 Orchard Admission includes access to the Apple Orchard and Pumpkin Patch, Harvest Season events, weekend wagon rides to The Orchard, Mooville attractions, Saturday live music, photo opportunities and yard games.
Kids can burn off some energy in the Orchard Game Zone, with favorites like the corn pit, bean maze, giant checkers, hay bale hill, tetherball, cornhole and more.
New in 2026: Apple Cannons
Ready to take your apple-picking adventure up a notch? Fair Oaks Farms is introducing brand-new Apple Cannons this fall. Grab a bag of apple shots, take aim and see just how far you can send them flying. Apple Cannon bags are available for $5 for five shots or $10 for 10–13 shots, with Orchard or Mooville admission required.
Make Saturdays a Little More Musical
From September 5 through November 7, 2026, Saturdays at Fair Oaks Farms come with a soundtrack.
Live Music Saturdays bring performances to Mooville throughout the afternoon, and the music is included with Orchard Admission. The 2026 lineup features artists including Pamela Rocha, Niko Kritikos – High Street Trio, The Sharks, Paul Cullen, Farmer Dan, LeAnn Stutler and Tim Nichols.
So grab your family, find a cozy spot and enjoy some live tunes while soaking up that perfect autumn atmosphere.

Enjoy fall brews, German fare and Oktoberfest games for both adults and kids.
Pumpkinfest — October 10–11, 2026
Get ready for giant pumpkins! Farmers from across Indiana will compete in the official Indiana Pumpkin Growers Association Weigh-Off, alongside pumpkin-themed games, food, painting and plenty of photo-worthy pumpkins.
Halloween Trail — October 31, 2026
Put on your favorite costume and follow the Halloween Treat Trail, where characters will be ready to hand out candy. It’s a Halloween adventure designed with families in mind.
Pumpkin Smash Bash — November 7, 2026
End harvest season with a satisfying smash! This family-friendly event invites guests to stomp, smash and celebrate the final days of fall at the farm.
