After apple picking, we tend to think of which apple recipes we can try to use up our supply of delicious, fresh apples. You tend to think of the classic recipes such as apple pies and baked goods, but what about turning those scrumptious apples into a meal that will surprise and impress your loved ones or guests? Look out, apple pie, apple chutney is coming for ya!
Inspiring Apple Recipes
The chefs at our Farmhouse Restaurant have certainly been inspired by the apples in our apple orchard. With several varieties to choose from, they know to use the fruits that are great for cooking and baking. When Chef Joel bit into our sweet, yet sour Zestar apple, he knew that he had to create something unique to boost the delicious, bold flavor.
They have a really nice sweetness with a little bit of sour to them. It’s really refreshing.
Chef Joel takes you through the process of creating this gorgeous dish, making each step easy to follow. You can put your own twist on this recipe by utilizing different apple varieties such as Jonagold or Pixie Crunch or by adding different flavors like lemon for a more tart flavor or cinnamon to give it more of a fun fall twist.
