Kids Activities

Keep your kids entertained with several activities happening this year at CowtoberFest. Find your way through our hay maze, decorate or carve your own pumpkin, march proudly in our costume parade, and get a load of our free wagon rides!

Calling all the Monsters

Set your phones to video-you’re not going to want to miss this event. The hour that we begin "Calling all the Monsters”, 10 teams will compete against each other in an epic Dance Off to win $500!

Hasting & Co.

In a genre where outside musical influence has easily overtaken priority to roots, Hasting & Co. founding members Kate Hasting and Josh Beale feel a welcomed responsibility to use other genres as a compliment to their Midwest country sound.

Jon Neill

Jon Neill was the winner of the 2014 Food Network’s Halloween Wars.  Jon has been joining us at CowtoberFest for 3 years now and each time brings amazement with his spectacular carving skills. Watch as he and his NEW CowtoberFest competitor, David Smith, go head to head in the ultimate carving showdown.

David Smith

In 2013 the FOOD NETWORK recognized and invited David to compete on the broadcast "Halloween Wars 3", in which his team, the Psychotic Misfits, took 2nd in the Championships after a hard fought month. This year, CowtoberFest is bringing the carving competition to a new level.

Giant Pumpkins

Come enjoy looking at some of the biggest pumpkins you have ever seen at the annual IPGA Giant Pumpkin Growers Contest being held here at CowtoberFest in 2017. Jon Neill will be choosing his favorite on Saturday to carve all day on Sunday. Who will be champion?

Craft Show

Come enjoy the many talents of the local crafters and vendors at our craft show during CowtoberFest. From jewelry to wooden signs, theres a variety of things to shop for. Our vendors also provide your children with an opportunity to trick or treat in a safe environment. Trick or Treating with our vendors is from 10a to 12p CST both days.
