Cowtoberfest: Fall Festival & Crafts

It’s almost FALL, y’all! This means that Cowtoberfest® is right around the corner! Our 14th annual fall festival will take place on Saturday, October 6th and Sunday, October 7th. Don’t forget to mark your calendar! This two-day event is jam-packed with trick-or-treating, kids activities, dance-offs, carving competitions, concerts, crafts, and more!

Fair Oaks Farms® is still accepting vendor applications for Cowtoberfest! Vendors will be able to showcase their array of talents to Cowtoberfest-goers at our craft show. Also, vendors can participate in Trick-or-Treating from 10 AM – 12 PM (CST) on both days.

If you are interested in being a vendor at the 2018 Cowtoberfest, please contact Cori Lane at coril@fofarms.org and request additional information.

Fair Oaks Farms’ Muenster Awarded First Place Honors at the 2018 ACS Judging and Competition

Fair Oaks Farms® Master Cheesemaker Bruce Workman’s Muenster took home first place honors at the 2018 American Cheese Society Judging and Competition held in Pittsburgh, PA on July 27th! Fair Oaks Farms’ Muenster has continually won honors at the competition since entering in 2005.

“Fair Oaks Farms is committed to producing the highest quality, best-tasting products by growing our own feed, providing exceptional animal comfort and leading the charge in groundbreaking sustainability efforts” said Julie Basich, Fair Oaks Farms COO, “We are proud that Bruce’s efforts and Fair Oaks Farms’ Fine Cheeses have maintained championship recognition.” The 2018 ACS Judging and Competition saw 1,954 entries of cheeses and cultured dairy products from 259 companies.

Pig Adventure

  • Visit our Growing, Breeding, and Farrowing Barns to see our pigs from birth to adulthood.
  • Conquer our interactive ropes course ($5 additional cost with admission).
  • Let your imagination out of the pen in our tree house.

Crop Adventure

The safety of our visitors, staff, and animals always comes first. After a great deal of observation, Fair Oaks Farms has made the heartbreaking decision to retire the horses for the summer.
